Nupur Mehta is upset with the ‘Sunday Times’ as each day a new story on her emerges. She says that earlier the paper claimed her involvement in the match fixing controversy later they started digging at her personal life. She is not happy that they are talking about her date with Dilshan.

Nupur Mehta says she is confused that what is that that the paper wants from her. But she is happy that her family is supportive. She belongs to dignifies family and everyone in her family knows how to tackle with these kinds of situations she says.
She however maintains her claim that she dated Dilshan. “Yes, I did. So what? I am not liable to answer things about my personal life. Yes, as was reported, I was in the casino and I saw the cricketers there, and they were all there. But that’s about it. I don’t want to drag this any further, and would be issuing a clarification shortly,” retorts Nupur.
She sees on harm in dating cricketers as long as the name is not dragged for match fixing issue. Taking a dig at the reporter who published Nupur’s story, she says, “The reporter is obsessed with me – he is in love with me. There can be no other explanation. See, even if I was dating Dilshan, or not dating him, or even if I was STILL dating him, my point is, prove that I am a criminal.”
Nupur Mehta is these days work as a freelance event organizer with an event management company at Delhi. She shifted her base to Delhi from Mumbai when nothing substantial happened there for her in Bollywood.
Guilty or not that is something different but as for now, Nupur Mehta has hogged much needed limelight and became an eye candy for film makers. She has been offered a role in Mahesh Bhatt’s film. She confirms the news, “Yes, Mahesh Bhatt has offered me a role, but I will take my time to come to a decision. For now, let me enjoy this bit of controversy, and then I will concentrate on my film career. I have been reading scripts and meeting people, but I am in no hurry.”
She feels that all of a sudden she has become darling for India. As more of cameras now focus on Nupur most, she says she feels that she has become “the darling of the country. Everybody wants to talk about me, everybody seems to be so interested in me, so I am enjoying every bit of it, and I am enjoying myself,” says Nupur.
